Make up favourites winter 2012/13

So I've been looking for an ispiration for a few days. Blogging is getting harder as time goes by if you can't find any inspiration. I asked my best friend what she would want to read and she suggested that I should do a list of my favourite products. I loved the idea so this is what today's post will be about!

But before we're getting started I wanted to show what I've been working on today!

I created a book that I will fill with all my inspirations, everything I want to write about, all the stuff that is influencing me, so that whenever I'm looking for something to write about I'll just open my book and there will hopefully be some good topic in there.

Now on to my favourite Make up products for this winter!
I'll be splitting it in categories and I'll just show you my highlight product for the category.
#1 Nails:
Essence Home Sweet Home TE Gel Shine Nail Polish (02 red-y to relax)
I bought this nail polish because I'm always looking for cheap polishes that have a good shine and don't chip too easily. Essence definitely did a great job with this polish! It's extremly shiny and doesn't wear off too fast. It's not a pure red though. It has a distinct hint of orange which makes it look very fresh. I love the colour and I've been wearing for like three weeks in a row.

#2 Eyes:
Catrice Lashes to kill false lash fibres volume mascara
I got this during a promo sale at Müller. They are selling the 1+1 free with the Lashes to kill (either waterproof or ultra black). I really am no fan of mascara that feature fibres as they tend to look cheap and gross but! this one is really good. It enhances the volume of my lashes extremely, it's a beautiful intense black and lasts all day. The fibres are not really visible when applied but you can really make out the difference. I will use this one for ma more dramatic looks and stick with the original waterproof lashes to kill mascara for my daily work make up.

#3 Lips:
Essence Hugs&Kisses TE lip tint (01 Sugar Baby Love)
I'm in love with lip tints! I bought one from Catrice about a month ago and if I hadn't bought this one yesterday the catrice one would be in it's place. You can layer them, put a gloss on top or even use them as a blush. I like this one for it's bright pink colour. When you apply just a thin coat it gives that lovely fresh pink of a young girls lips and if you layer it it turns to a reaaaaally bright pink. I haven't really been a big fan of pink lips until last summer when I bought the matte lipstick fom IQ in star which is also a bright pink. I love how they work so well with my black hair and pale complexion.

#4 Body:
LOOK by Bipa Nailcare Oil
I started using this already years ago when my nailbeds were really dry and hurt all the time. I love using it during the winter, when the air is dry and my hands tend to dry out. Now that I have gel nails I'm using it regularly to make my nailbeds soft and just for random nailcare. This is my favourite for this season because I used it on my moms hands about a week ago because her nailbeds were in a really, really bad condition. I polished her nails and massaged a bit of the oil into her fingertips and you wouldn't believe how beautiful and young her hands immediately looked. She is now using it regularly and her nailbeds are getting better and better and I guess this will also have a great influence on her nails. (You might think that this would have belonged into the naisl category but as it is more about the skin than the nails themselves I decided to put it into the body category)

#5 Hair:
The Bodyshop Rainforest Radiance Hairbutter
I got this just a few days ago but after using it for the first time I already feel a real difference in my hair and you can see a subtle new shine. I will continue to use it and report to you whether the positive effect it is having on my hair will stay.

recent make up gets

So recently I got some new make up as old stuff was running out or I just wanted to try new thngs that have been released recently.

Lips:

Catrice Ultimate Lip Glow
It comes in just one shade 010 One shade fits all and it really does fit everyone. It feels more like a lipbalm and changes it's color when you apply it. It simply enhances your own lipcolor which I really love! My boyfriend hates liptints, lipsticks, lipglosses and anything else that he can actually feel when kissing me but! he accepted this one. So now I can wear some color on my lips and kiss him anyways. I think it feels great, gives a decent color and my lips feel really hydrated. I got it for 4,99€ at DM which my appear a bit pricy but I think it'S worth it.

Teint:

NYX Concealer in a jar 02 Fair
I've been looking for a good concealer for some time and them found this one. It's rather cheap (6,95€ at Douglas) and does really do a good job. It does come in a jar as the name implies and I use a small concealerbrush to apply it. I simply love it!

Contouring powderset from ebay
As with the concealer I've been looking for a decent contouring set with a white powder that does not shimmer and finally I found one! It was only 3,25$ and the shipping was free. It does not completely cover your skin or stain. So if you want to go really white you'll need to use something else but it does really give you nice contours. I use it almost everyday and will definitely buy it again! Click here to see the seller's store!

Perfumes: Well these do not really fit the subject of this post but as I got two new ones I thought I might as well write about them right now!

Vivienne Westwood Let it rock!
I really like this one! It reminds me a lot of the perfumes my mom used to use when I was small. It's just a really oldschool fragrance that may not be perfect for everyone but I like it for going shopping or going out as it is strong enough to withstand smoke and repeated clothchanging.

Talor Swift Wonderstruck Rollerball
I got this one from DM during a promotion. Otherwise I would never ever in my life even have tried it at all. But surprisingly I really love the fragrance and application. As the name says it's a rollon, so you don't spray it all over your room but can apply it right where you want it to be.
Top notes: appleblossom, freesia, raspberry
Middle notes: vanilla, honeysuckle, hibiscus
Base notes: amber, musk, peach, sandalwood

These my current gets. I hope that some of you will try the lip glow too as this is definitely my favourite out of all of these products.

Maconvention 2012 | New Gets | First try on Hime Gyaru

So last weekend my convention season finally began! On friday I met my best friend and we went to the Maconvention in Leonding together. The entrance fee was incredibly high this year as well as last year, but as Anli Pollicino were having a live there we went there anyways. Well the gig was pretty awesome and they even did an autograph session. All in all we had very much fun on friday!
On saturday I had to get up really early and fix my hair as I was taking part in a Lolita fashionshow by the label Ohlala Couture. The dresses were inspired by the rorschach tests and looked sooooo amazing! I especially loved the collar that I wore. Here's a pic ofall t he models in the dresses <3

Unfortunately I haven't got a single pic from friday until now but my best friend took some so I will update this post as soon as I've got the pics ;D


First I wanna talk about new make up I got.
On monday I finally got my new bottle of skin79 gold BBCream. I'm so freakingly happy I got it again as I think this is the absolutely best for my skin. Last week I went a bit shopping with my mom and got a white liquid eyeliner from the current LE from alverde (Liquid eyeliner 10 glamour ivory) and a new light brown eyebrowpencil by catrice (Eye Brow Stylist 010 Blond But Brow'd). I love them both!
Oh and as a thankyou for the fashionshow we all got a lipgloss and a nailpolish by catrice. (Colour Show Coulour & Stay Lip Gloss 030 Pink Me Up and the Ultimate NailLacquer 840 Genius In The Bottle)

Some time ago I recorded my first nailart tutorial and realised how bad the quality of my old camcorder is compared to recent products. So I decided to sell my old one and get a new minicamcorder. Yesterday I ordered the Kodak Zi10 and some further stuff for recording (SDHC card, lapel microphone and a matching windscreen) I'm really excited to test it and upload many new videos.

And while going home today me and my mom stopped by at C&A and I got this shirt and a new hat. (Didn't have time to take a proper pic of the hat yet :/)

Now on to the last part of today's entry which is kinda a part of the second part as well... too many parts in here @.@
On sunday me and my boyfriend met a good friend and played billard and had a nice dinner at the Saloon in Vienna but before that we met a vienniese Gyaru that sold me one of her Liz Lisa dresses! I'm so in love with this dress! I never imagined that I would like the Hime style on me, but with this dress *w* It's just perfect. Today I tried to assemble a real hime outfit. Well I'm not really sure about it but please let me know what you think about it! (Oh by the way I didn't wear too much make up as I was just going out with my mom and she doesn't like that heavy make. So more pics with make up are coming soon!)

I still need to work on the wig though.

OOTN

Hi sweeties <3

I just came by to give you a quick update on what's going on in my life! I'm training a lot lately and I do spend a whole lot of my time with playing Carte. I really learned to love this game. This weekend I even played with a korean super high level player... and well I lost but it was sooo much fun! In the end I'm still a newbie :D
When I'm not training or playing Carte I cook for my family, study chinese characters, look through new Gal magazines and try out new MU styles.

Today a big part of my mothers family came together to have a belated easterbrunch at a greek restaurant, which is quite close to where I live. I love to eat there, but somehow I always feel incredibly bad after being there.... I guess I should just eat less :DD The food is incredibly delicious! Today I had duck with orange-honeysauce and a delicous gratined potatoes.

I love to kinda shock my relatives with my stylings, so today I thought it would be nice to wear something a little bit gal for the first time when meeting up with them.

So this was my outfit for tonight: My new maxidress, which I lately got at Forever 21 for about 23€, a lace bolero from Forever 18, the shoes are my sisters and I think she got them at Deichmann and lastly I wear my wonderful silky straight wig in auburn from Lockshop.

And here's a close up of my make up. First I forgot to put in the lenses and when I did put them in I somehow disliked how it looked all together. I think my eyes look too large with these lenses combined with this MU.
I think all over it looked good but I could have done better. What do you think?

[Tag] What if all of your make up got lost?

Lovely Jen posted a few tags within the last days and tagged all of her readers so here I am answering the tag. So this tag is about make up: Which ten products would you buy first, if all of your make up got lost?

#1: my BB Cream: Right now I'm still using the Skin79 Super+ BB Cream gold label, but I already ordered the Skin79 lovely girl BB Cream so depending on how I like this one I would get one of these again. I really love my BB Cream. It smoothens my skin, moisturizes, covers up every uneven spot and gives a radiant shine. I'm relly looking forward to testing the new BB Cream and I will definitely let you know what I think about it.

#2: Alverde camouflage: I love to use this to cover up the dark circles under my eyes. It has a very creamy texture and covers up so well. Plus it smells sooo nicely!

#3: essence fix & matte translucent powder: as my forehead tends to get quite oily throughout the day I really love this powder, because it helps mattifying my skin so well. I usually apply this all over my face after I finished putting on rouge and eyeshadow to fix everything.

#4: essence I love stage eyeshadowbase: I've been trying out some different eyeshadowbases over the years, but out of all of them I guess I like the essence one best. I really don't like spending too much money on basic make up so I usually just stick to the drug store products also there's a high chance to get them in any small store or town. So this really helps keeping the eyeshadow and eyeliner from smudging, which for me is a real problem in summer (I just can't stand the heat!)

#5: essence eyeshadow quattro "to die for": I guess this is the perfect nude/everyday eyeshadow quattro. I really love the colors as they go so well with my skin and I will in any case buy this again and again!

#6: essence smokey eyes brush: I bought this one just recently but I use it every day! It's just perfect for blending. I had one like this before that was a little bit more expensive but it constantly lost hair and now that I got this one I'm definitely not going back to my old brush.

#7: Catrice precision eyepencil in black: Well I guess there's not much to say about this. It's just a superlasting eyepencil in deep black that I couldn't live without.

#8: Maybelline Lasting Drama gel eyeliner: I guess I've tried like thirty different eyeliners: liquids, gels, pens... either they weren't really black, they smudged after an hour, they burn't on my skin or didn't last more than a month but were really expensive. Finally I found this one and I really love it. It comes with a pencil that is perfekt for application and easy to clean and the eyeliner has a really nice color and finish.

#9: Catrice Allround mascara waterproof: I guess this story would sound a lot like the last one so I'll keep it short. Next to the Maybelline falsies mascara I like this the most. It has a wonderfull not too deep black color and helps curl my lashes really well.

#10: Catrice Defining Duo Blush 050 Apricot Smoothie: Well I don't yet own this one but I have a blush that's very similar to this one and I'm totally going to buy this one too as I heard a lot of good things about it.

Chitchat at the Mc Cafe

Today I met a friend after university. I know him since summer 2009. I had bought a magazine about Japanese Lifestyle called "Peach" and in each volume there were two or three readers featured. When I read that he was from Linz (which is quite near to my hometown) I just had to send him a message. about a week or two later we met for the first time and became really good friends.
On sunday there will be a concert by Versailles ~Philharmonic Quintet~ in Vienna and he is attending too (as are some more of my dear friends <3). So we met today because he needed some special parts for his outfit which I fortunately had at home.

We went to a quite new mall, which is called "Lentia City", in Urfahr, which is something like the north district of Linz (yes, this sounds way cooler than it really is XD). We had drinks and sweets at the Mc Cafe. Here's what we got:

He had a frozen caramel coffee without caramel unfortunately Q.Q and an apple pie and I had a chocolate frappé and a strawberry cupcake.
We kept talking for quite a long time and it was really fun. We talked a lot about fashion and hairstyles. He just got his hair dyed and it looks soooooo amazing *w* I really love the color. Well anyway the point of this hair talk was that he helped a friend of ours to decide on a haircolor and then he showed me the pic the used as a sample. While he was looking for the pic on the mobile he told me that I look a lot like the girl in the pic. I was really excited to see her!

It's Sakochi! My big inspiration <3 I guess this is one of the nicest things anyone ever said to me regarding my style.
Afterwards we went back to the center of the city. I had to buy something for my mom and he wanted to get Xboxlive points to download Crisis. Well I had to go home at about 2 pm as my mom is coming hom from her vacation today and we had to tidy up the flat.

just a quick trip to the city

At first I wanted to go to vienna to meet my boyfriend there and take him to my hometown. But only a few minutes after I left my home he texted me to tell me that he wont be allowed to leave the post today. I was really depressed at first because I spent two hours on finding an outfit, doing my hair and make. But I had to go to the city anyways.

So I went to a drugstore to get a special detergant for my dad because he constantly stains his shirts with ballpens. But as I couldn't find the detergents at first I just looked through the make up part of the store and found some stuff to test.

Here's what I got:
-an essence eyeshadow quattro (02 - chic-ify) containing: peach, a warm light brown, glittery black, glittery silver
- s-he x-treme hardener for nails (my nails tend to break like every day so I'm looking for a good hardener to strengthen them)
- essence nail fashion sticker gel style (in two colorways) which I will be reviewing in a few days

I already tested the nailhardener and it really helps a lot. I will go on to use it and we will see if nails will really grow longer. At least I hope so.

And at last I will leave you a few pictures of my self from today (treid to do an gyaru make up again :3). I hope you'll like them <3

Me and my sis finally finished all of the preparations and managed to clean the flat :D
We are now on the train to vienna and on our way to the con <3 I'll just leave you a closeup of my face to give you a little idea of my styling today :3 I hope I'll have time to post in the evening to make a quick review of the first day of the amazing Aninite <3

Last Minute

Hey sweeties, I'll just write a quick post because I'm a bit stressed already. I had to buy some things I forgot to get in time for the convention, so me and my sis went to the city and got all we needed.Here's what I got: I love fake glasses and today I got a new pair <3 I really like the color and style and it was soooooo cheap *w*

Afterwards we've been to a drugstore to get some make up we needed. I found a new eyeshadow base I'm going to try (and maybe review on here?) and a translucent mattifying loose powder (both from essence).

And I got some quite nice falsies at the drugstore <3 They are also from essence and not so very expensive.

I'll go on preparing everything for the con now and I hope all of you will have a really great evening <3 Love, M.
