Hi Sweeties <3

I'm so sorry for not blogging for such a long time again, but I had reasons for not comming here that I don't want to talk about.

My training and the University are taking up almost all of my time and I want to spend my spare time with the ones I love. Beside that I learned to love a new game which is since sunday taking up quite a part of my time as well as studying.

At last today the easter holidays started so I thought that would be a good day to blog again.

Today I want to talk about some recent buys, my new haircolor and show you a video I stumbled upon last week.

I bought two lovely new lipsticks within the last weeks. First a great nude lipstick that contains no glitter and is not too glossy. The colorway is called Blossom and I really love the shade. It's from IQ (a drugstorebrand only availabe at Bipa)
The other one I got is 31 Star also by IQ, but this one is from the matte collection. At first I was afraid that the color would look awkward on my lips, but it turned out to be just perfect.

Next thing I got is the refreshing toner by essence my skin. It is fit for all skin types and claims to be softly cleansing and moisturizing. I started using it about a week and a half ago and I already now love it more than I ever loved any other toner. My skin is kinda sensitive to toners and I tried so many different ones but this one really keeps it's promises. My forehead tends to get quite oily and my nose area is usually really dry, but after using this and my moisturizing cream my skin feels so much better!

Last but not least and not bought either I got two really cute gifts within the last weeks: first a necklace that I got from my best friend and second a pegasus earstud that I got today as a thankyou for an old mp3 player that I gave to a friend of mine.

Now let's go on to the never ending story of me and my changing haircolors :DDD
Lately I didn't really put that much effort into my hair, but yesterday I decided to refresh the blonde and put some nice color on. So first of all I bleached all of my blonde hair until it was really light and then I just mixed some La riche directions in violett with my Balea curl conditioner and applied that all over the blonde hair. I hoped that it would come out more lilac, but for now I'm really happy with the result.

What do you think about the color?

The very last thing I want to show you today is this wonderful tutorial by Wendy from Wendys Lookbook on how to do a sock bun. I love wearing buns, but most of the time I'm in a rush, so I was looking for a quick way too create a really decent bun.

Well I guess that's more than enough to fill one blogpost. I hope to be able to write something more for you soon!

Love, M.

Nails, Nails, Nails

Hi sweeties <3

I guess everyone knows that nails are a big part of the gyaru fashion. I love that there are so many ways to wear your nails: short, long, oval, sharp and edgy, with lots of bling or just plain.
Within the last years I wore quite a lot of false nails but due to the natural shape of my nails they never really fitted. I really love long nails but my own nails are kinda thin and tend to split, break or rip, so last october (I think it was october) I decided to get a UV-curing lamp and gels and did my own gelnails. I really love crafting and creating little things so I wasn't really afraid of doing it on my own. I guess the first time they were pretty much okay, but nothing more. By now I found out how to make my nails look really good, how to shape them and what gels are best for the modelage.

I bought the Jolifin Starter Set and I'm so happy I got this one. The quality is really good and it comes with everything you need.

I'm always looking for new inspiration. Google and Youtube can be really helpful but also blogs of some lovely gals are full of nail art and other inspirations.

I guess these are the most common shapes for nails and even when not wearing false nails you can wear great nail art. Just take some time, look for a picture of a nail art you'd like to do, get some nail polish and get started!

Lastly I want to share some of my recent nail art. I'm not really able to put on too much bling, because I work as a casshier and my nails usually are totally ruined after work, so I just decorate my nails for special occasions and stick to cute polishes for my everyday life.

This is what my nails looked like after doing them for the first time.
My Valentine's Day nailart (inspired by cutepolish)
This is what I wear right now. I love Polka dots and pastels as they are perfect for spring.
Two days ago was the end of carnival so me and some friends were going out and as I didn't dress up I just made my nails to look a bit like minnie mouse :D
And last but not least a rather blurry pic of my outfit of that night.

Oh and I got the blush I was talking about last time and I love it!

I guess that's again more than enough for today. So I hope you are all well and have a nice day!

Love, M.

[Tag] What if all of your make up got lost?

Hey sweeties <3

Lovely Jen posted a few tags within the last days and tagged all of her readers so here I am answering the tag. So this tag is about make up: Which ten products would you buy first, if all of your make up got lost?

#1: my BB Cream: Right now I'm still using the Skin79 Super+ BB Cream gold label, but I already ordered the Skin79 lovely girl BB Cream so depending on how I like this one I would get one of these again. I really love my BB Cream. It smoothens my skin, moisturizes, covers up every uneven spot and gives a radiant shine. I'm relly looking forward to testing the new BB Cream and I will definitely let you know what I think about it.

#2: Alverde camouflage: I love to use this to cover up the dark circles under my eyes. It has a very creamy texture and covers up so well. Plus it smells sooo nicely!

#3: essence fix & matte translucent powder: as my forehead tends to get quite oily throughout the day I really love this powder, because it helps mattifying my skin so well. I usually apply this all over my face after I finished putting on rouge and eyeshadow to fix everything.

#4: essence I love stage eyeshadowbase: I've been trying out some different eyeshadowbases over the years, but out of all of them I guess I like the essence one best. I really don't like spending too much money on basic make up so I usually just stick to the drug store products also there's a high chance to get them in any small store or town. So this really helps keeping the eyeshadow and eyeliner from smudging, which for me is a real problem in summer (I just can't stand the heat!)

#5: essence eyeshadow quattro "to die for": I guess this is the perfect nude/everyday eyeshadow quattro. I really love the colors as they go so well with my skin and I will in any case buy this again and again!

#6: essence smokey eyes brush: I bought this one just recently but I use it every day! It's just perfect for blending. I had one like this before that was a little bit more expensive but it constantly lost hair and now that I got this one I'm definitely not going back to my old brush.

#7: Catrice precision eyepencil in black: Well I guess there's not much to say about this. It's just a superlasting eyepencil in deep black that I couldn't live without.

#8: Maybelline Lasting Drama gel eyeliner: I guess I've tried like thirty different eyeliners: liquids, gels, pens... either they weren't really black, they smudged after an hour, they burn't on my skin or didn't last more than a month but were really expensive. Finally I found this one and I really love it. It comes with a pencil that is perfekt for application and easy to clean and the eyeliner has a really nice color and finish.

#9: Catrice Allround mascara waterproof: I guess this story would sound a lot like the last one so I'll keep it short. Next to the Maybelline falsies mascara I like this the most. It has a wonderfull not too deep black color and helps curl my lashes really well.

#10: Catrice Defining Duo Blush 050 Apricot Smoothie: Well I don't yet own this one but I have a blush that's very similar to this one and I'm totally going to buy this one too as I heard a lot of good things about it.

I hope this was at least a little bit interesting for you and I think I'll just join Jen and tag all of my readers that haven't yet answered this tag!

I hope you'll all have a great last day of carnival and a lot of fun!
Love, M.

Review: hair straightening brush

Hey sweeties <3

So I told you that I bought lots of new haircare stuff. One of these things was a special brush for straightening your hair while blow drying.
Usually I don't blowdry my hair at all because my hair is naturally very dry and frizzy and when I do blowdry it it gets even worse. But letting it airdry takes ages. At the moment I straighten my hair a lot because I just can't stand the way my natural curls look, so I thought why not try this brush.
I bought it at Basler, a shop especially for hair cosmetics and hair dresser equipment. http://www.basler-haarkosmetik.at/ It's the "Lady B. CERAMIC LINE Haarglätterbürste".

It has different fibers put together into one strand so there are very thick ones to brush the hair and very thin ones to smoothe it. Also the ceramic plates help to disperse the heat evenly.
As my hair is really, really curly and the blow-drier at my boyfriends place isn't exactly the best thing on earth I didn't expect the outcome to be all to amazing but honestly spoken it is awesome! It is way easier to use than an usual round brush and straightened my hair really well.
Unfortunately I couldn't finish my work as the blow drier is so incredibly loud and my boyfriends dad was so annoyed of the sound that I had to stop.
Of course I will have to use my flat iron later but I always have to after blow drying my hair, but my hair feels really silky and is way easier to comb than after blow drying it with a normal brush or a round brush.

Well all in all I think I can totally recommend this brush for anyone who likes to straighten their hair while blowdrying it, but don't like to use round brushes.
I do not regret buying it at all.

I hope this review was helpful for some of you. If you have any questions about the product or the shop you can just leave me a comment.

Love, M.

Lately

Hi sweeties <3

Again I didn't post anything in such a long while. I'm deeply sorry but somehow my life was so full of playing "The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask" that I didn't really feel like doing anything else than saving the world :D
Well even though I've been playing a lot lately I also studied for upcoming exams and worked out a bit. Also me and my boyfriend redecorated his room. I'm still lacking any good pictures, but here I've got a close up of the wallpaper we used.
All in all we spent about two days to do everything. Now he's got a newer bed that doesn't break down if you sit down on the wrong spot, a new table that I love to use as a desk while he is using his own, the new wallpaper and we reduced the size of one of his incredibly huge racks.

I've been "shopping" with my boyfriend too. Well first I was shopping with my family :DD We went to a mall that's kinda close to our hometown and I got some awesome things that were on sale: leatherette shorts and a cute pink knitted pullover. My Dad gave 30€ to me and my sister so that we could get us something nice at OMG! Shoes. Well I really fell in love with a pair of boots. They had like everything that I was looking for in a boot. They where perfect by any mean... but they were not my size! So I kept the money and was really depressed all evening long. Late at night I went to my boyfriends place and the next morning we went to a mall that's close to his flat (it's like 10 minutes away)and in this mall there is the second of only three stores of OMG! shoes. So I went in and found my beloved boots. They had one pair left in my size so I immediately bought them and now here they are! <3
On our way out of the mall we went by Acessoirize and I saw a supercute bag and as it was also on sale I bought it right away.

While writing this I realize that I bought a lot of stuff lately. Especially make up, hair and skin care.
I ordered new BB cream as mine is almost empty. This time I chose the Skin79 Lovely Girl BB Cream.
I bought new haircolor (silver to tone my blonde and black), silver toner and silvershampoo.
I also got a new daily moisturizing and mattifying face cream by essence. It's the my skin mattifying cream with litchi and grade seed oil. It smells great, hydrates very good and also helps controlling the oily shimmer on my forehead perfectly. I think that it's a really awesome product for just 2,15€.
Lastly I got another rather cheap product at a local drugstore. It's the alverde serum with alpine rose. I love it! It moisturizes my skin so well plus it smells so incredibly great!

The last thing I wanna talk about today is my nails and Valentine's day. I prepared some chocolate for my Boyfriend and also decorated nmy nails for this special day so here is a quick snapshot of them.

I almost forgot to tell you that I cut my own hair! I was so fond of my hairstyle so I decided to just cut in some layers and cut my bangs a little bit more side swept. (It was quite late at night so I didn't wear too much make up anymore.

Buth that's it. Really!:DD
I hope all of you had a great Valentine's Day!

why I've been absent for so long

Hi sweeties <3

I'm very sorry for not posting for soooooo long. I really didn't feel like posting anything lately. I've experienced so many great and so many awefull things within the time that I've not posted. Christmas was really awesome I had a lot of fun with my friends and family.
But between christmas and new year I had to work every day. It was uneblievably tiresome to just sit around all alone. At least around lunchtime when my best friend started her shift I had someone to talk to <3 (Yes me and my best friend worked at the same place <3)
A few days before the new years eve my boyfriend told me that he will not join the party we had long planned. All of our close friends from my region were there and he parited with his friends in vienna.
First I was really disappointed but in the end we still had a great evening all together.

Right after the party I went to vienna and spent my first week of the new year with my dear boyfriend. I prepared dinner for him during the last days of his work for the austrian army and afterwards we've been shopping and just enjoyed the free time together.
Last monday university started again and I realised that I have just two courses left until the beginning of february. Chinese and Gender in Science. So I have time to go to vienna already on wednesdays instead of friday afternoon. I use the time in vienna for studying, reading manga, exercising a bit and to just be with my beloved one.
This Saturday we had a party in Leonding. One of our best friends had birthday and we wanted to surprise him... well he found out almost a week before the party but still we all had a lot of fun. We had dinner at a japanese restaurant and I had super tasty kimchee nabe<3 Afterwards we played tabu and uno all night long and also almost all of sunday :DD
So at the moment (apart fro last weekend) my life isn't that interesting at all. But here I've got some great news too: This summer I'll be going to Lisbon <3 It's going to be just five days but I'm really excited to go there. Maybe me and my boyfriend will also go to Germany for a few days to visit Düsseldorf, Berlin and some other cities <3

But we'll see :D

For now I can't think of anything else to write about so I'll just end this here.
I hope all of you had a great christmas and will have a great year<3

Pretty or just pretty sick

Hi sweeties <3

Today I want to talk about something that is really important to me: weight.
Every time I open a new issue of Jelly (you could insert almost any other japanese mook title here)I'm really shocked by the pictures of young girls that starve thereselves to become thinner.
When I was around fifteen I was still really, really skinny. My torso was way to big for the rest of my body, I looked kinda hillarious and yet scary. I hated my body and started to do more work out and finally had a body with good proportions (even though I should do more for it nowadays :DD)
But everytime I open one of those mooks I just see myself back when I was fifteen... too skinny... well my teint wasn't that good back then :DD
I don't know too much about the taste of japanese guys, but I honestly can't believe that anyone would want to make love to a skin colored stick with breasts. I'm not thinking bad about those girls, not at all, but I just ask myself who made them lose so much weight that the don't even look human anymore.
Just imagine one of those girls would get pregnant. I honestly don't believe that it is healthy to be that skinny. So here is first an example of those skinny girls (especially the one on the left looks really... wrong. You see that picture left to her? the second one where she looks just fine? I just ask myself: why did she go on?) And secondly a healthy thin model. Now please tell me what do you think looks better?

I'm really looking forward to reading your comments on this topic.
Love, M.

last weekend

Hey sweeties <3

Wow I haven't been bloging for ages! But honestly my life was just so boring and depressing that I just didn't feel like posting anything.
Last weekend I finally met my boyfriend again (we haven't seen each other for two weeks as I've been sick and haven't been allowed to leave the house the weekend before), but before that I went to Natsumi-sans place on friday.
I did her nails and slept at her place. On saturday we met our friends Chris and Shu in Linz. We wanted to go to a christmas market but ended up at a cofeeshop :D Here are some pics:
Me in the train :DD
Natsumi-san
Best coffee I ever had <3 Caramel Nut Moccachino

After meeting my friends I went to Vienna to meet my boyfriend. I felt like I hadn't seen him for ages. We went straight to his home and had another amazing dinner his mom prepared for us (If someday I turn fat I know whose fault it will be :DDD). We watched TV together and just enjoyed the time together.
On sunday we decided to visit a chirstmas market at the town hall place. It consists mostly of food, food, jewelry and lots of food. We bought huge bertzels, one that tasted like a bismarck with cinnamon and sugar on top and one that was filled with vanilla pudding. Afterwards we had three cups of punch together. The first was actually "Jagatee" which was really really too strong, the second was with pomegranate flavour (our favourite) and the last was with egg liqueur (again really strong).
I love how his eyes glow when he's wearing his lenses
as you can see my darlin didn't really like the Jagatee
cute little castle and the heart tree

All in all I had a great weekend and enjoyed the warm weather.
Since I left Vienna my life seems to be dull and grey again. I really can'T wait for the next weekend!

I'll write another post right after this one to tell you what just lighted up my day ;)

Love, M.

dm porduct test

Hey sweeties <3

Those of you who live in Europe might know dm it's a multinational drugstore company that was founded in Germany.
They also have a fanpage for their austrian stores on facebook. If you like this page you can become a dm product scout. I've did it for the second time now and I'm really glad I joined in again. The first time I got to test a got 2 be volume powder, which I love for gyaru hairstyles, as I don't have to tease them so much when using it. This time we got shower gels from balea young. Balea is a dm exclusive brand. My sister also registered and luckily we got both of the new designs. Mine is called "Zuckerschnute" and my sister got "Traumgeschöpf".

Let's talk about Zuckerschnute first. It smells like vanilla joghurt mixed with cotton candy and lemon. I love how all of my skin smells so sweet and yet fresh after showering. I really like the design of the bottle and everything it's just perfect all over.
ingredients: AQUA, SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, COCAMIDE DEA, GLYCOL DISTEARATE, SODIUM LAUROYL SARCINOSATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, PARFUM, TETRASODIUM DICARBOXYMETHYL GLUTAMATE, CITRIC ACID, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM METHYL COCOYL TAURATE, LAURETH-4, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, LIMONENE, CITRAL.

Now on to Traumgeschöpf. The smell is a mixture of musk, almond and roses, but to me it smells like nectarine. Under the shower it smells a little bit bitter, but still sweet and soft. The design of the bottle is very charming and appealing too.
ingredients: AQUA, SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, COCAMIDE DEA, GLYCOL DISTEARATE, SODIUM LAUROYL SARCINOSATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, PARFUM, TETRASODIUM DICARBOXYMETHYL GLUTAMATE, CITRIC ACID, POTASSIUM SORBATE, SODIUM METHYL COCOYL TAURATE, LAURETH-4, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, LINALOOL, LIMONENE.

At the shop I think you will pay about 2€ for a bottle and I think they are really worth it.
All of you who love sweet and charming shower gels should definitely give them a try.

Love, M.

Ebay Arrivals

Hi Sweeties <3

As I metioned earlier this week some of the things I ordered in the last time arrived these days, so here's a short post on these things.

First my new Fall/Spring boots from ebay.
At first I wanted to buy some awesome boots from rakuten, but they were too expensive, so I decided to look through ebay to see if I can find something nice and I did! I bought them from this ebay shop.
What's really funny is the fact that me and my boyfriend had a little walk at my hometown and when we stopped at a shoestore we saw a pair of shoes that looked just like my new boots (the only difference is that the upper part is shirred) but those cost 245€. So that's one more reason for me to love my new boots. They are really confortable and look very good when worn.

Next my lower lashes (also from ebay) arrived.
I didn't think they would come anymore as it took over one and a half month but finally they arrived and they look pretty good. I haven't found time to make pictures while wearing them but here's a shot of them in the package.
They haven't been very expensive so I ordered 30 pairs, which is way too much for me. I've been thinking about doing a Giveaway soon so maybe I'll use them for it.

The last thing is not really one of my purchase but one of my boyfriends. I ordered some circle lenses for him at eyecandylens.com. As he is chinese his eyes are a very deep, dark and rich brown, which I totally love but he dislikes a lot. So we decided to order a pair of optical circle lenses. We chose the GEO Tri-color world in brown. I will give them to him tomorrow and will take some pics with him to show you how they suit him.

So this is really enough posting for today. Have a nice evening sweeties!

Love, M.

Recipe Post: Pumpkin Cream Soup

Hey Sweeties <3

This time I bring to you one of my absolute favourite soup recipes: Pumpkin Cream Soup. The original recipe is by Johann Lafer, but I changed some things to make it suit my taste more.

Here's what you need for approximately 5-6 bowls:
1 medium sized Hokkaido pumpkin (~ 1 kg with seeds and skin)
250 ml Cream
2 shalotts or 1 large onion
1 garlic clove
100 ml white wine
400 ml chicken soup
1 tsp curry powder
salt & pepper
fresh nutmeg
40 g butter

First you need to find a large and very sharp knife. You should use either one with a saw like blade or with a thin blade in order to be able to cut the pumpkin.
Cut the pumpkin into halves and scratch the seeds and all the stringy parts out with a simple spoon or an ice scoop (you could keep the seeds to dry and roast them, but be sure to clean them properly).
Then cut off the skin. You have to be very careful or you might cut your fingers, as this is really tricky. Afterwards cut it into pieces that are about 2x2cm big.

Cut the onion and garlic into small cubes and fry it in the butter until it turns glossy and translucent. Add the pumpkin and the curry powder. Stir lightly and add the white wine.
Let it cook until the typical alcohol flavour has gone and add the soup and the cream. Cook it for about half an hour or until the pumpkin cubes turn soft.

Add nutmeg, salt and pepper (and if you like a small pinch of cinnamon) until the soup suits your taste best. Mix it until its creamy and all of the bits have gone.
If the soup is too thick for your taste you can add some more water, if you think it should be even creamier just let it cook for a little while longer.
Serve it hot with croutons and a little bit of pumkin seed oil. I really love to add crunched roasted pumpkin seeds as topping.

I hope you will enjoy this recipe just as much as I do. <3
